EMA and EUnetHTA release joint report on medicines data

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) have published a report on their joint work plan on the generation of data on medicines, pre- and post-authorisation.

This report, covering the period between November 2012 and December 2015, concludes that the EMA-EUnetHTA collaboration is expected to “enhance sharing experience and knowledge along the life span of medicines.”

The objective of the EMA-EUnetHTA collaboration is to identify and undertake specific steps to improve the conditions for patients’ timely access to an effective medicine.

The overall goal is to enhance efficiency and quality of processes for the benefit of public health in the European Union (EU).
