Set up in 2007, the MS Information Dividend (MS-ID) was a pilot project for the ensuing European Register for MS (EUReMS). 

As the title of the project suggests, Multiple Sclerosis – Information Dividend is focused on the importance of information about multiple sclerosis (MS).

In 2007 Europe, very limited data was gathered about MS, its incidence, treatments, impact on social life and employment, and healthcare support.

 

The EU-funded pilot programme MS-ID therefore set the scene for the development of a platform that would collect, compare, analyse and disseminate cross-border MS data – EUReMS.
