On behalf of EMSP’s Conference Committee, we are delighted to invite you to Athens, Greece, for the EMSP Annual Spring Conference that will take place on 19 – 20 May 2017, at the Hilton Athens.
The Annual General Meeting of the EMSP Council will take place on 18 May, followed by the Conference on 19 – 20 May.
The theme of the 2017 Spring Conference is: The Path to Resilience: A Multidisciplinary Approach.
Building on the success of previous EMSP conferences, the event will bring together people with MS, advocacy organisations, healthcare professionals and researchers, alongside policy-makers from across Europe to offer you a dynamic mix of presentations, sessions and debates. The event represents a milestone on the path towards our common goal of improving the quality of life of people with MS.
The first day of the conference will cover a broad range of topics on the latest therapies and access to innovative MS treatments. A particular focus will be the MS treatment decisions for women alongside an interactive presentation of the latest edition our MS Barometer. The conference will also feature an update on the most recent developments of the International Progressive MS Alliance from the MS International Federation.
The second day, organised in collaboration with Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (RiMS), will address vocational rehabilitation, fatigue and cognitive rehabilitation. It will also include a practical session on physical rehabilitation.
The conference is organised in partnership with our two members from Greece: the Greek MS Society – full member, and the Hellenic Federation of People with MS – associate member. This event also marks the 25th anniversary of the Greek MS Society.
We are therefore delighted to welcome you to what promises to be another insightful conference. Expect high-powered networking sessions and impactful presentations.
We encourage patients and patient organisations, healthcare professionals, carers, researchers, public health officials, policy-makers and industry representatives to attend our event. It will provide you all with an excellent forum to share knowledge and experience.
We hope that you will find our Spring Conference and your stay in Athens both valuable and enjoyable.
With kind regards,
